Highly bio-available suppository formulation specifically designed using the active, reduced form of glutathione for maximum benefit.
- Each jar contains 30 individually sealed Detoxamin® 1000MG premium USP grade Glutathione suppositories. This formula contains 1000MG Reduced Glutathione (NO EDTA), and virtually replaces IV therapy.
- Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant and detoxifying compound consisting of three amino acids: cysteine, glutamic acid, and glycine. Produced in the liver, glutathione assists with detoxifying xenobiotics and heavy metals, neutralizes hydrogen peroxide, maintains the integrity of blood cells, and helps to transport amino acids across cell membranes. It also aids in the breakdown of oxidized fats and is necessary for carbohydrate metabolism. Glutathione is also involved in metabolizing insulin and regulating blood glucose levels.
- Why Reduced L-Glutathione? L-Glutathione exists in the body in 2 forms that recycle back and forth, a reduced (or “active”) form and an oxidized form. Keeping these forms in balance is extremely important for maintaining health. Our bodies are constantly producing free radicals (uncharged, highly reactive molecules with unpaired electrons). The reduced form of L-glutathione is an antioxidant that protects cells and tissues by scavenging free radicals. In this process, reduced L-glutathione (also known as GSH) is transformed into its oxidized form (GSSG). L-Glutathione can be depleted under heavy bouts of free radical stress or even simply due to aging, as L-glutathione levels naturally decrease over time
- Detoxamin’s Glutathione’s suppositories are absorbed by the wall of the rectum and carried straight into the systemic circulation (circumvents the entero-hepatic portal system and not broken down in the liver)
- Glutathione absorption rectally provides high efficacy absorption due to the anatomy of the rectum that bypasses the hepatic portals
- Decreases free radical damage while protecting cells, tissues and organs from metal poisoning
- Supports healthy brain and neurological function while helping to maintain healthy body metabolism
- Antioxidant –the body’s master antioxidant, our bodies depend on it for the removal of toxins. Other antioxidants in our body depend on it to function properly
- L-Glutathione plays a crucial role in the body’s detoxification process that occurs inside cells, particularly within cells of the liver, kidney, intestines, and lungs. As part of the cellular detoxifying process, L-glutathione binds to toxins and helps remove them from the body. A healthy balance of reduced and oxidized forms of L-glutathione supports the body’s ability to detoxify chemicals such as those found in environmental pollutants, smoke and exhaust, heavy metals, and metabolites from various types of drugs
- Detoxification – detoxifies a large number of pollutants by binding to carcinogens, heavy metals, herbicides, pesticides and radiation by forming a soluble compound with the toxin that can then be excreted through the urine or bile
- Immune system – is at the heart of all immune function. Healthy growth and activity of immune cells depends on the availability of GSH. The protective activity of GSH is two-fold – it enhances the activity of immune cells and also functions as an antioxidant within them. Raising and maintaining your levels can help minimize the risk of diseases
- Increased Energy – Our energy levels are a result of many factors – everything from the biochemical reactions taking place within our cells, to muscle function and even your sense of well-being. Glutathione enables the mitochondria of a cell to remain fully charged, enhancing muscle strength and endurance. Clinical trials have shown that lowering Glutathione in the mitochondria results in cell death
- Repair – Our body is constantly under attack from free radicals, some from external sources and some generated in our own body. Free radicals attack the nearest stable molecule, “stealing” its electron. A molecule that loses an electron then becomes a free radical itself and attacks the next nearest stable molecule, this begins a chain reaction. Once the reaction is started it can cascade through hundreds of molecules. Glutathione performs a vital role in repairing the damaged DNA by replacing the missing electron. Normal to elevated Glutathione keeps the repair of our cells at a maximum and reduces the number of cell mutations that would occur otherwise.
